Please review information about Statistics Canada's Continuum of Access to learn about other ways to access some of the data listed on this page.
"The Data Liberation Initiative (DLI) is a partnership between post-secondary institutions and Statistics Canada with the goal of improving access to data resources. This user-centric program builds statistical capacity and leadership through microdata access training and support for an ever-expanding research data collection."
Here are some interfaces available through the DLI that provide alternate access to some of Statistics Canada's publicly available data (other than microdata files or public use microdata files which are covered on the next section of this page).
Public Use Microdata Files (PUMFs) are files containing survey data in which each row is a respondent / instance of what is being surveyed and every column is a variable about that respondent / instance. Some variables might be suppressed (not shared), and many variables might be grouped (such as age groups instead of exact ages).
Here are some DLI interfaces that can be used to retrieve and download StatCan PUMFs.
