Printing

  1. Click "Web Print"
  2. Submit a job
  3. Select kil-prt-4\DAL-LAW-LC-WEBPRINT (not any printers saying Dunn, unless you want your document sent to the chemistry building :) )
  4. Click "Print Options and Account Selection"
  5. Upload your documents
  6. Click upload and complete

Your print job will come out of the LC printer, which is located between the circulation desk and the reference desk, around the corner from the circulation desk. If you have any issues ask the circulation desk!

Sometimes, you will see a "render failed" message in red after attempting to print. If this happens, submit the document again and it will eventually go through. You will not be charged for failed print jobs.

Give yourself enough time to print early if you are submitting an assignment; the line for printing tends to be very long on the mornings that assignments are due, especially for LRW!

Note: wireless printing will only print in black and white and double-sided. If you need single-sided or colour printing, log into one of the Learning Commons computers using your NetID and password and print from the computer itself. Make sure to select the settings you need and that you have enough money on your DalCard. The cost will automatically be deducted from your DalCard.

Black and White (single-sided)   $0.07 per sheet
Black and White (double-sided) $0.06 per side $0.12 per sheet
Colour $0.50 per side $1.00 per sheet

Room Booking

How to Book a Study Room

  1. Log onto the room booking system using your NetID and password.
  2. Select "Sir James Dunn Law Library" from the centre drop-down menu.
  3. Decide which room you would like to book. Hover over the room name to get details about the capacity of each room.
  4. Select the time block in which you'd like your study session to start. Time is booked in 30 minute blocks. Only white blocks may be selected. Blue means the study room has already been booked for that time frame.
  5. Select the beginning time and ending time of your booking (limited to a maximum of 2 hours).
  6. Due to the demand for study rooms, you will need to enter at least two participants (you and one other person) to book a room. This is to make sure that everyone gets time in the rooms.
  7. Enter a reservation title and description. This does not need to be long or detailed, but is required (for example, "Study Session" or "Group Work").
  8. Enter your phone number, and check "I accept terms and conditions."
  9. Create your booking. A confirmation will be emailed to your Dalhousie account.

To Access Your Study Room

  1. Come to the circulation desk at the time of your booking.
  2. Present your student IDs. At least two law student IDs are required to check out study room keys.
  3. A circulation assistant will check out the key for you.
  4. Profit.
  5. When you are done, lock the door of the room and return the key to the circulation desk.
