First Year Law Guide

Welcome to the Sir James Dunn Law Library!

As a law student, you’ll spend a lot of time here. It’s a good thing that our library is an amazing space, full of all the resources you’ll need, and helpful staff that can assist with your research. Some features of the library include the Rare Book Room, the Grad Pad, and the Canada Room.

The law library occupies four floors in the Weldon Law Building with bright, comfortable space for study and research. The print and digital holdings offer substantial Canadian and international common law materials and commentary. A capable staff provides reference and support services for students, faculty and other users.

You can find us on the second floor of the Weldon Law Building. Just head up the stairs and through the atrium!A graphic of a mouse wearing a chef's hat instructing students to enjoy snacks in the Atrium rather than the library.

Reminder: We unfortunately don't allow food and drink in the library. If you need a coffee or water, bring it in a reusable bottle or a travel mug, as disposable cups won't be permitted. Take a break outside in the atrium for your snacks and meals!
