As a Clinical Clerk you have access to all the print and electronic resources of the Central Zone libraries. All the libraries have computers that are connected to the Central Zone network and all allow free printing. All the Libraries have free Wireless Internet access. The libraries can help you with literature searches, instruction in searching databases, obtaining articles and accessing e-books.
Although there are no libraries at the East Coast Forensic, Hants Community or Cobequid Community Centre, these sites are connected electronically to the Central Zone network and you have access to all the Central Zone’s Library electronic resources so long as you are able to sign onto the Central Zone network.
The IWK Health Sciences Library is located on the main/2nd floor of the Children’s Building, in Room K2028, on University Avenue (Halifax). The library is open and staffed M-F, 9-5. You can use your IWK ID to enter the library 24/7 during your clerkship. There are computers available for you to use and printing is available. Library staff are available to help with literature searching, obtaining articles and accessing e-books.
As a clerk, you have access to library services in the Horizon Health Network hospitals. For Saint John, Fredericton, Moncton, Miramichi, and Upper River Valley, you will have 24 hour access to the library, including borrowing print materials and using computers. You can access the library using your swipe card.

MedIT provides technology support to Dalhousie Medical School students, residents, faculty and administrators. They can assist with computing support, instructional support, videoconferencing, video and audio production, One45 (academic scheduling, reporting and assessment), document scanning, and application development.
