Library guide for Transition Year Program students (TYP)

Books: A few tips

  1. IMPORTANT! Books are excellent sources of background information, and are recommended for most research projects. Journal articles are more specific, while books will give you broader information - this is why you should always start with a book when doing research. You do not have to read the entire book - the introduction and a few select chapters will usually suffice.
  2. You can keep your print library books for 3 weeks. If you would like to keep them for longer, you can renew them. See this quick video on how to renew books.
  3. To read an ebook that you find in Novanet, click "Find online," and then click the full text link for DAL users.
