Here are a few tips to help you access everything that the Libraries have to offer. Scroll through this page to view our top 3 tips!
Tip 1: Register your DalCard
Your Dal card is your Library Card! Before using your card to borrow materials, you must first register your Dal card as your library card
On-campus students or faculty: Fill out a Patron Registration Form, or register your Dal ID in person at the service point/circulation desk of one of the Dalhousie Libraries
Please feel free to contact your librarian whenever you have questions!
Tip 3: Find the Research Guide for your discipline
Research Guides contain information, links, recommended databases, and other things you might need for your research
Students in different discipline/majors use different tools for their research, so Research Guides are created by librarians to give you a good idea of where to look for information in your discipline/major
Some Research Guides may contain specific recommended books or articles, but in most cases Research Guides are gateways to recommended databases and websites that you can use to search for information.
