NSAC and Dalhousie merged in 2012, and today’s Faculty of Agriculture was officially founded on September 1, 2012
The School of Agriculture was created within the Provincial Normal School in 1885
The Nova Scotia Agricultural College (NSAC) was founded through the merger of the School of Agriculture, the provincial farm, and the School of Horticulture on February 14, 1905
The first class to graduate with a BSC (Agriculture) in the names of both universities was in 1985, the same year as NSAC’s 100th anniversary
NSAC offers the only university level programs in agriculture in Atlantic Canada
