Compendex: Engineering Village This link opens in a new windowCompendex is the most comprehensive bibliographic database of scientific and technical engineering research available, covering all engineering disciplines. It includes millions of bibliographic citations and abstracts from thousands of engineering journals and conference proceedings. When combined with the Engineering Index Backfile (1884-1969), Compendex covers well over 120 years of core engineering literature.
Please note regarding the use of Artificial Intelligence tools:
Authorized Users may not use Compendex in combination with an artificial intelligence tool to :
(i) create a competing commercial product or service for use by third parties ;
(ii) adversely disrupt the functionality of Compendex ; or
(iii) reproduce or redistribute Compendex to third part artificial intelligence tools, except to the extent limited portions of Compendex are used for research purposes (including to train an algorithm) in a closed or self-hosted environment solely for use by the Authorized Users, to ensure such use does not train the algorithm of a third part artificial intelligence tool (other than for the creation of prompts or queries) and does not result in the third party provider of such artificial intelligence tools retaining any residual portions of Compendex.
Authorized Users may only use artificial intelligence tools in combination with Compendex if such artificial intelligence tools incorporate reasonable security. If there are existing, or if during the term of this Agreement the government adopts mandatory laws regarding artificial intelligence in research, such law shall prevail to the extent of any inconsistency with this Agreement.
