If you or your students would like some help with research, don't hesitate to contact one of your librarians! 

Some things we can help with:

  • Writing a case for tutorial
  • Helping to assess students' search strategies
  • Developing resources for the students
  • Conducting your own research
  • Literature searches
  • Systematic reviews
  • Critical appraisal of literature
  • Finding resources for any questions you may have in practice or medical education
  • Making good resources available to other staff, faculty, and students
  • Directing you and your students to other helpful "human" resources such as the Writing Centre, Math and Science Help Centre, technology help
  • Coming in as a guest to help with an evidence-based practice tutorial case or lecture
  • Working with you or your students one-on-one or in a small group
  • Helping you make the most of your Dal faculty appointment by orienting you to our great electronic and print resources
  • Helping to find great open-access resources for you to use once your time at Dal ends, or that you can show your colleagues who don't have faculty appointments
  • Help with Patient Education resources
