Benefits of an Institutional Repostory

  • Easy to use. Click a few buttons, fill in a few blanks and a document is uploaded. You can do it from any computer. Plus, you don’t have to worry about backups or maintenance. DalSpace does all that for you.
  • Discoverable.  DalSpace is Google friendly and your material will be picked up in Google search results within a matter of days after submission, making your content very discoverable.
  • Stable URLs. A fundamental role of libraries is to develop and maintain collections. DalSpace gives your papers an unbreakable URL. In 20 years and beyond, a citation to your paper giving the DalSpace link will still be live and get people to your paper.
  • Access Control. DalSpace is intended to be an open repository. However, we can remove your content from public view if you need to control access to specific documents for a finite period of time such as an embargo.
