  • Help is available to undergraduates and to graduate students in any subject area. Specialized support is offered to International Students. 
  • Centre staff are not proofreaders or editors, but will work with you one-on-one to become an independent, confident writer.

Centre staff can help you with: 

  • research papers, course assignments
  • sourcing and citing research material
  • grammar, punctuation, mechanics of writing
  • In-class presentations
  • business writing
  • applications/letters of intent for admission and scholarships
  • technical writing in science and engineering
  • English as Another Language (ESL/EAL) support

  • There are also seminars and events scheduled throughout the school year. These seminars are free and are open to all Dalhousie students. They are held in room 2616 of the Killam Library on the Studley Campus, and are from 5 - 6 pm.
