AJIL is a leading peer-reviewed journal, published quarterly since 1907. It features articles, essays, editorial comments, current developments, and book reviews by pre-eminent scholars and practitioners from around the world addressing developments in public and private international law and foreign relations law. The Journal also contains analyses of decisions by national and international courts and tribunals as well as a section on contemporary U.S. practice in international law. Established in 1961, The Canadian Yearbook of International Law is a leading international academic journal covering both public and private international legal issues. Authors from Canada and around the world are invited to publish peer-reviewed articles in French or English that advance critical thinking in all areas of international law. The Canadian Yearbook of International Law also seeks to make Canadian practice in international law accessible to academics, policy-makers, and practitioners. Issued annually under the auspices of the Canadian Council on International Law, the Yearbook contains articles of lasting significance in the fields of public and private international law; a notes and comments section; a digest of Inter-American law; a digest of international economic law; a section on current Canadian practice in international law (including recent parliamentary declarations, Canadian treaty actions, and positions stated by Canada’s Department of Global Affairs); a digest of important Canadian cases in the fields of public and private international law; and a book reviews section.

The African Journal of International and Comparative Law provides invaluable scholarly material on law from a pan-African point of view. The journal includes articles on both public and private international law, either in English or French, as well as recent developments relevant to the continent of Africa.

As “the oldest and most-cited student-edited journal of international law,” the Harvard International Law Journal covers a variety of international issues and topics in public and private international law.

The EJIL was established in 1990 by a small group of distinguished scholars based at the European University Institute in Florence. The Journal has grown since then in size, strength and reputation, but the Editors’ original vision remains unchanged and is distinguished by its European orientation; its emphasis on critical and theoretical approaches; its commitment to publishing contributions from a diverse range of contributors, especially those among the younger generation; and its continuing interest in the historical origins of the ‘European tradition’ (in the best and broadest sense) in international law.

The International & Comparative Law Quarterly (ICLQ) publishes papers on public and private international law, comparative law, human rights and European law, and is one of the world's leading journals covering all these areas. Since it was founded in 1952 the ICLQ has built a reputation for publishing innovative and original articles within the various fields, and also spanning them, exploring the connections between the subject areas. The Yale Journal of International Law (YJIL) is one of the world’s preeminent international law journals. YJIL publishes articles, essays, notes, and commentary on a wide range of subjects in the fields of international, transnational, and comparative law on a biannual basis. Since November 2009, the Journal has published shorter analytical essays in YJIL Online, an online companion journal.
