Resources for Dalhousie Medical Residents

Residents enjoy full library privileges at all Dalhousie University libraries. Most services, including mediated database searching, access to electronic journals and texts, and document delivery, are also available remotely via the Web. Explore the Kellogg Library's home page at: www.library.dal.ca/kellogg

In the Library, residents have access to computer workstations with full access to productivity software (complete Microsoft Office Suite and statistical and image software) and scanners. The Library is also a wireless zone for laptops and mobiles.

Access Library Collections

Electronic Resources
There is no password requirement to access our electronic resources from on campus. However, to access these resources from remote (off-campus) locations you will be prompted to authenticate yourself as a Dalhousie user. This requires your Dal NetID username and password. (Note: this is not the same as your tupdean2 or Dal Medix logins.) For more information, visit our remote access page. Don't know your Dal NetID, or need to activate your it? Visit the NetID and Password Web Page. You will have the opportunity to set your password here as well. If further assistance is needed call Dal's IT Help Desk at 494-2376 or toll free at: 1-800-869-3931

Print Resources
Print collections are located on the first and second floors of the Kellogg Library. The pharmacy collection is located in the Burbidge Building next door on College St. Print journals do not circulate. Books in our general collection normally circulate for 3 weeks, although you may request a faculty loan which allows you a much longer borrowing period. Renewals may be done online through Novanet.
