Quick Reference for the Health Sciences

This page provides information on finding research or data collection instruments, often just called 'instruments' for short.  These could be questionnaires, surveys, scales, tests or measures.

Some resources publish the complete instrument, a number of these have been listed below. 

Other resources publish information about the instrument.  In this case the full text (and permission to use it) has to be requested from the author or copyright holder.

Published research studies that used the instrument, or report its validity, reliability  can be searched in any health or social sciences databases.  Some tips on  searching are below.
