Music resources are located in the Music Collection on the first floor of the Killam Memorial Library, to the right of the Killam Library Service Point Desk in the main lobby. In this one location, researchers will find music recordings, opera and recital DVDs, music scores, print music journals, books about music and music reference books such as music specific encyclopedias and directories. All music material is catalogued and call numbers available in the Dalhousie Libraries online catalogue Novanet. A practice piano and listening facilities for LPs and CDs are available onsite.
Archival material related to music in Nova Scotia is also available. See the Dalhousie University Archives' page on visual and performing arts archives for more information. The Archives Catalogue provides descriptions of the material that is available for consultation in the Archives and Special Collections Reading Room on the fifth floor of the Killam Memorial Library.
