The Atlantic Canada Portal supports research related to the Atlantic provinces of Canada. This Atlantic Canadian bibliography can be browsed, but is no longer updated.

Established in 1971, Acadiensis is a journal of regional history devoted to the study of Atlantic Canada, the northeast, and the Atlantic World from a variety of disciplinary perspectives.

A magazine dedicated to the history of Prince Edward Island.

Starting in 1998, the Royal Nova Scotia Historical Society began to publish the journal as a collection writings and reviews. It is published once a year.

From Journal website: "Newfoundland and Labrador Studies was founded in 1985. It is a bi-annual, interdisciplinary journal devoted to publishing original essays, in either English or French, about the society and culture of Newfoundland and Labrador, past and present. Such essays are subject to a peer-review process."

Historic Nova Scotia is a digital humanities and public history project that allows communities to bring their histories to life online. The website and free mobile app feature geo-located stories about the sites, people, and events that have shaped communities across Nova Scotia. Each story is enriched with images and primary sources from archives, museums, and heritage organizations that help preserve community histories. Thematic tours of stories allow users to further explore Nova Scotia's rich website.

This database includes characteristics of all the legislation passed by the pre-Confederation assemblies of eastern British North America: Nova Scotia (1758-1867); Cape Breton (1785-1820); Prince Edward Island (1768-1867); New Brunswick (1786-1867); Lower Canada (1792-1838); Upper Canada (1792-1840), the United Canadas (1841-1867); and Newfoundland (1832-1867).

The Provincial Archives of New Brunswick collects, preserves, and makes available for research, documents and records bearing upon the history of New Brunswick.

The Rooms collects and preserves materials relevant to Newfoundland and Labrador that have an enduring legal, fiscal, evidential or research value. From government and private records to maps, photos and film, our collections cover centuries of materials that tell the story of our province and its history.

The David Rumsey Map Collection was started over 30 years ago and contains more than 150,000 maps. The collection focuses on rare 16th through 21st century maps of North and South America, as well as maps of the World, Asia, Africa, Europe, and Oceania.
