DH Summer Institute at the University of VictoriaJune 6-10 or 13-17 2016
The Digital Humanities Summer Institute is a week (or two!) of intense coursework, seminars, lectures and collaboration with participants from the Arts, Humanities, Libraries and Archives and beyond. It welcomes participants of all experience levels. Participants choose a main course each week out of 43 options. In addition, short workshops, social and networking activities are available. Tuition scholarships and academic credit are available if pre-arranged. Accommodation is available on-site for a reasonable fee. Examples of available courses include [Foundations] Text Encoding Fundamentals and their Application, [Foundations} DH for department Chairs and Deans, Accessibility & Digital Environments, and Feminist Digital Humanities: Theoretical, Social, and Material Engagements. This conference is an excellent opportunity to meet others working in the field. For those who cannot attend, reading the course descriptions is still a way to get a snapshot of current areas of interest and growth.

Dalhousie DH Summer Institute (2016)This year, DHSI@Dal is hosting a series of one-day workshops as well as public lectures on Digital Humanities. All are welcome to the public lectures, but workshops require registration. The DHSI at Dal draws on the well-established DHSI program from UVic.
