Since 1912, the Agricultural Campus Library has housed a collection of literature and artifacts reflecting different facets of agriculture: education, technology, and research. The Agricola Archives, Special Collections, and Museum was formed in 1983 to preserve much of this older archival material and are housed in the MacRae Library on the Agricultural Campus. Agricola contains rare books, archival documents, maps, manuscripts, and photographs. Our collections are related to the Nova Scotia Agricultural College, agricultural practice, agricultural education, the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture, science, and natural resources in Atlantic Canada and Maritime literature. Materials have been collected from campus or donated primarily by people associated with the College.

We currently have 74 meters of processed textual records and 600 photographs, as well as 700 catalogued special and rare books, with an additional 1,200 in shelf order.
