  • NSAC and Dalhousie merged in 2012, and today’s Faculty of Agriculture was officially founded on September 1, 2012

  • The School of Agriculture was created within the Provincial Normal School in 1885

  • The Nova Scotia Agricultural College (NSAC) was founded through the merger of the School of Agriculture, the provincial farm, and the School of Horticulture on February 14, 1905

  • The first class to graduate with a BSC (Agriculture) in the names of both universities was in 1985, the same year as NSAC’s 100th anniversary

  • NSAC offers the only university level programs in agriculture in Atlantic Canada
