High impact journals are considered to be highly influential in their fields. A journal's impact factor is measured by the average number of times researchers cite articles published in that journal.
Journal Citation Reports (JCR) can be used to evaluate and compare journals - the reports allow you to view the impact factor of particular journals and discover how many times they have been cited. Check out our video tutorial on using JCR.
